Welcome to Jimmy, the latest addition to our Physiotherapy team!
Jimmy graduated from the University of Queensland in 1992 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree. He immediately commenced his career in private practice with one of the Gold Coast’s leading sports physiotherapists and continued his studies in the field of sports physiotherapy.
His experience has included working with elite Olympic and Commonwealth Games swim squad members, providing biomechanical analysis for their shoulder function and the design of sports specific strengthening and injury prevention regimes, as well as treating individual athletes as the need arose. Jimmy also provided this service to the young members of the McDonald’s Junior Tennis Australia program here on the Gold Coast.
Over the years Jimmy has gained extensive experience and skill in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal and spinal conditions, dysfunctions and injuries. He has an ongoing passion in rehabilitating patients from injuries sustained in sports or the workplace, as well as following orthopaedic surgery.
Jimmy’s post graduate studies have related specifically to private practice, focusing on the diagnosis and management of various musculoskeletal conditions, and injuries and dysfunction of the spine and lower back.
Jimmy was married to Lisa in 2012, and they currently live in beautiful Lower Beechmont in the Gold Coast Hinterland, and he is excited to join the Chevron Island Physio team.
