LIVE FREE OF ILLNESS AND DISEASE!

January 13, 2015 By Chevron Island Physio

The typical Australian diet is a deadly one, consisting primarily of toxic and acid-forming foods like processed sugars, artificial sweeteners, refined grains, processed meats and dairy, and hidden genetically modified organisms. Add to this environment factors (such as lack of sleep, stress, and medication), mean it’s no wonder that more and more people are being diagnosed with chronic, degenerative illnesses.

The body must balance the blood’s pH levels at a slightly alkaline level of 7.365 in order to survive. When the body falls to the acidic side of the scale, there are dire consequences for our health. This is because when the nutrients required to maintain this slightly alkaline state cannot be obtained from food, the body will instead draw from its own stores, like the bones or other vital tissues – damaging its ability to repair itself and detoxify heavy metals, thereby making a person more vulnerable to fatigue and illness.

Alkalising foods that you should introduce into your daily life include:
• Alkalising Vegetables: Beets, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumber, Kale, Lettuce, Onions, Peas, Peppers, Spinach
• Alkalizing Fruits: Apple, Banana, Berries, Rockmelon, Grapes, Melon, Lemon, Orange, Peach, Pear, Watermelon
• Alkalizing Protein: Almonds, Chestnuts
• Alkalizing Spices: Cinnamon, Curry, Ginger, Mustard, Sea Salt

By increasing these foods in your diet you are decreasing the risk of disease. Pick 3 of them to add into your diet tomorrow! pH can be tested easily with a quick urine test. Contact me for testing, more information or a more specific diet.
