Alison Jeffrey (Hanrahan) BPhty – Director, Physiotherapist – Women’s Health, Exercise Therapy Instructor (formerly Pilates)
Alison Hanrahan is the Principal Physiotherapist of Chevron Island Physio. She graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 2009 and commenced practicing in one of Brisbane’s leading private practices. Her passion for Physiotherapy stems from a love of physical well-being and fitness. Alison represented at elite level for junior gymnastics before applying her skills with a career as a professional stunt actor.
In addition to providing treatment to her musculoskeletal patients, Alison has a special interest in the area of Women’s Health. She has undergone extensive postgraduate training in the areas of pelvic floor rehabilitation for urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, exercise during pregnancy and the post-natal period, and management of pregnancy-related pelvic pain and pelvic floor pain. Alison is also trained to fit pessaries for prolapse management and can assist women who are pregnant or post-natal, are experiencing pelvic pain or pelvic instability, have difficulty with bladder control or constipation or who are experiencing symptoms of prolapse.
Alison has also completed her Level 1 and 2 in Clinical Pilates. She has worked as a Pilates instructor since 2007 and is regularly found practicing in the Pilates exercise area. Alison strongly encourages Exercise therapy (formerly Pilates) as complementary treatment to general physiotherapy, as it’s a very powerful tool for injury prevention and maintaining long term physical health.
Alison is passionate about helping her patients achieve optimal wellness during all stages of life with compassion and enthusiasm.

Susan Bauman BPhty – Physiotherapist and Exercise Therapy Instructor(formerly Pilates, Headache Special Interest
In 1996 Susan graduated from University in the UK, with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. She has extensive experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in Australia, New Zealand and in the UK.
After graduating she worked for the British army specializing in lower limb injuries and still has a special interest in this field. She is a runner herself and before having her two children competed in triathlons ranging from sprint to half iron-man distance.
She has post graduate qualifications in sports physiotherapy, has studied acupuncture and uses dry needling to compliment her treatments where appropriate. She has a long list of post graduate courses including Clinical Pilates levels 1-4, Treatment and rehabilitation of spinal dysfunction and Post-orthopaedic surgery. More recently she has attended workshops on the Watson Headache technique and is certified to assess and diagnose those who suffer headache and migraine. Suffering from headaches herself she understands how debilitating they can be and aims to get to the root of the cause and get you headache free as soon as possible.
Georgia Feben – Physiotherapist, Exercise Therapy Instructor(formerly Pilates) Women’s Health
Georgia graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science, a Masters of Physiotherapy and an academic award for top 5% of students.
With a strong interest for helping women through the many changes that occur across their lives, Georgia specialises in Women’s Health Physiotherapy, in addition to running a musculoskeletal caseload. Georgia feels very fortunate to be able to support women with her knowledge to improve her patients understanding of their body and overall quality of life.
Georgia has completed postgraduate training of pelvic floor rehabilitation for incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pregnancy and the post-natal period. She also assists with abdominal muscle separation, mastitis, pregnancy related carpal tunnel and post-natal return to exercise.
For 4 years Georgia has been teaching reformer Pilates with additional training in pregnancy. Her favourite class to take is Mum’s and Bubs.
Away from Physiotherapy, Georgia likes to be outdoors in particular, at the beach. She also loves avocado, coffee, running and reformer Pilates.

Gillian Burgess – Physiotherapist, Exercise Therapy Instructor(formerly Pilates) Women’s Health Special Interest
Gillian graduated from Griffith University Gold Coast at the end on 2015 with a Master of Physiotherapy / Bachelor of Exercise Science. Gillian has worked not only in private physiotherapy practice but continues to work in the hospital setting as well. She feels privileged to be able to share her knowledge and experience with patients to improve their well-being and quality of life.
Her main interest is Women’s Health physiotherapy, however she shares equal interest in musculoskeletal therapy of the hip & pelvis.
Gillian not only uses her Women’s Health experience to treat private patient’s but she can also be found at the hospital running antenatal classes and providing acute care for maternity patients.
Outside of physiotherapy, she loves to keep active and enjoys a wide range of sport from surfing to mountain biking and just about everything in between. Coming from a high level sporting background in mountain biking to now treating and working with several professional athletes, Gillian understands the importance of feeling 100% and loves helping patients of all ages and skill levels achieve their goals.
Jessica Hartenthaler – Physiotherapist and Exercise Therapy Instructor (formerly Pilates)
Jessica completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, with an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science.
She has a special interest in musculoskeletal conditions and sporting injuries, and has experience working with sporting teams on the gold coast. She is therefore experienced in assisting with return to work and sport programming, in both a gym and pilates setting.
Jessica has also completed a range of courses to assist with neck and back pain, and is passionate in showing you the tools to prevent this becoming a recurring injury.
Jessica is a positive and caring therapist that will leave you smiling.
Isabelle Blanc- Physiotherapist and Exercise Therapy Instructor (formerly Pilates)
Isabelle completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Monash University (2008) in Melbourne before relocating to work at a private practice in Emerald, Central Queensland to work with the rural and mining community. Isabelle’s love for Queensland and its people started to grow strongly from here. After another 2 years working in one of Melbourne’s private rehabilitation centres, she moved to the London and worked for the National Health Trust (NHS) in the orthopaedic and musculoskeletal areas, whilst traveling to many countries in Europe, Central and South America and Africa. After four years of this fulfilling lifestyle, Isabelle moved back to Melbourne and continued her development in the area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy with Victoria’s largest public health network. During her time at Monash Health, Isabelle completed her Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is in the process of completing her Masters this year. Isabelle expanded her knowledge and skills across acute, emergency department, outpatient and community service areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, whilst developing strong relationships with orthopaedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals. Isabelle returned to Queensland last year to resume her desired lifestyle and enjoy everything the sunny state has to offer.
With over 12 years’ experience, Isabelle is extremely passionate about musculoskeletal physiotherapy and providing high level care across acute to chronic conditions/injury/disease. Isabelle has a keen interest in post-operative management and rehabilitation in the recovery from both elective and trauma surgery i.e.) knee surgeries, shoulder reconstructions, ankle reconstructions and joint replacements, as well as pre-rehabilitation and/or conservative management of all fractures and soft tissue injuries. Competing at high levels herself in various sports, including rowing and basketball, Isabelle understands the importance for athletes to return to sport in a client goal focussed manner, whilst maintaining a healthy therapeutic alliance. Isabelle’s experience and training as a primary contact practitioner in an Emergency Department has given her a keen interest in diagnosis and management of acute injuries and pain management. Isabelle also has a keen interest and biopsychosocial approach managing people with chronic health/disease and those experiencing chronic pain conditions from her experience working at a busy Pain Clinic in Melbourne.
Simon Ayling – Clinical Pilates Instructor
Simon completed his Certificate III Fitness leader, Gym instructor, L1 sports trainer and Sports first aid before adding levels 1-4 in clinical Pilates so he could provide his clients with a more clinical approach. Simon has been instructing clinical Pilates since 2003 where he treats chronic conditions, pre and post-operative rehabilitation, joint biomechanical function, sports specific function and instructs general exercise classes.
Simon is the author of Simply Stretch. A stretching book that provides people with an easy to follow full body stretching routine, allowing them to maintain flexibility and normal range of movement.
Kyle Williams – Podiatrist
Kyle completed a Bachelor of Podiatry and a Bachelor of Pedorthics at Southern Cross University in 2019. He has a special interest in biomechanics and the effect that footwear can have on our mechanics during gait.
Kyle is a member of both, The Australian Podiatry Association and The Pedorthic Association of Australia. He has presented at the 2018 Australian Pedorthic Symposium in Adelaide, on peripheral arterial disease and continues his research within this area for the 2020 symposium.
Kyle has actively participated in the Gold Coast marathon educating athletes on the importance of correct footwear.
Kyle grew up in Forster, on the New South Wales mid north coast and has always loved the outdoors, especially during his days as a competitive kayaker. Since moving to the Gold Coast, Kyle enjoys seeing local bands and hiking with his wonderful partner, Anika.

Daniela Molina-Cogo – Remedial Massage Therapist
Dani has a diploma in remedial massage and has been working as a massage therapist since 2017. She takes pride in offering her patients a very unique and personalised treatment plan – using different techniques according to her client goals, preferences and lifestyle.
Her treatments include – Soft/Deep tissue, Sports Massage, Myofacial Release Manual and with Cupping, Dry Needling, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage and Pregnancy Massage including Reflexology for Pregnancy
Her mission in her professional life is to help people get out of pain and she is passionate about achieving this to the best of her ability.
Ryko Kalinko – Remedial Massage Therapist, Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher, Yoga and Qi Gong Instructor
Ryko has over 20 years experience in the healing arts, covering a wide range of modalities, including Remedial massage, Hawaiian Bodywork (Kahuna), Shiatsu, Thai massage, Reiki, Polarity Therapy, Acupressure, Reflexology and Energy work.
He is an internationally renowned healer, yoga teacher, qigong master and wellness mentor, and specialises in helping people be free of chronic or longstanding pain.
Ryko has worked with thousands of people, including Hollywood and Australian celebrities, European and Middle-Eastern Royalty, international sport stars, and CEOs of multinational companies, providing private healing sessions and instruction in the arts of meditation, yoga, qigong, tai chi and dance.
He has worked extensively as a consultant and therapist both in Australia and internationally, and for several years has been a regular ‘Visiting Specialist’ with luxury resort chains Four Seasons, Six Senses and the Peninsula at their various properties around the world.
He has established a Wellness Retreat Program at Hayman Island in the Whitsundays which received critical acclaim, as well as created a healing retreat centre in Japan. He has worked with Indigenous communities in both Australia and New Zealand and has been recognised as a ngunkari (traditional healer) by the Indigenous elders of Central Australia.
His passion is to help people discover the simple things they can do to achieve vitality and well being.
Morgane began her career in the field of health services at the age of 20 in France, studying a Masters in Social Work Psychology, after which she began working with people with various mental and/or physical disabilities.
She then went on to study nursing, completing a 3-year diploma, and became a registered nurse. She then worked in various hospital settings, including in injury rehabilitation and post-surgery care.
She found that the part she enjoyed the most about nursing was the hands-on care and felt a desire to focus more on natural, manual therapies. She travelled to Thailand to study Thai Massage, and completed an 8 months certification course, and then worked in Bangkok under the tutelage of a master healer. She studied Thai massage, meridian therapy, reflexology, trigger point therapy, oil and relaxation massage. She then travelled to Australia to study a Diploma of Remedial Massage. In Australia, she has worked in various contexts, including at a Day Spa and in the corporate massage context.
Morgane’s speciality is deep tissue massage for pain management and relief. She combines a unique fusion of western and oriental techniques, with a focus on adapting to the needs of the individual client, including myofacial release, stretches to improve range of motion, cupping and the stimulation of precise pressure points to achieve total body and mind replenishment.
She also has a special focus on lymphatic massage, especially as a way to assist in post-surgery care. This is especially beneficial for people who have had recent medical or cosmetic surgery, to aid in post treatment recovery.
The Amazing Administration Team
Haley – Practice Manager
Haley is the Practice Manager at Chevron Island Physio
She has always worked in administration and loves the process of organisation and people.
In 2018 she made the big move to Brisbane after living in Adelaide her whole life. She has worked in a variety of clinics in a practice manager role over the last 15 years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and skill.
Haley is a busy Mum of two; her daughter is in year 12 and her son is in year 6. She is a lover of pets and loves nothing more than taking her book to the beach to enjoy some time out.
Haley is passionate about bringing kindness into each day and is always looking for opportunities to make someone’s day a little nicer.
She believes Chevron Island Physio is a unique, caring environment – and feels truly lucky to be working with the amazing staff and lovely clients.
Tracey – Senior Administration
Tracey moved to the Gold Coast from Warragul in Gippsland Victoria in 2014 with her husband Geoff. Despite all her efforts to be carefree her 2 lovely children soon followed her as life is so much better with Trace in it. Tracey met her husband whilst packing asparagus and was engaged just 2 days later! They were married after 6 months and have now been together for 28 years. You can find them hanging around the pool, attending special race days to watch their very own race horse or helping someone move, babysitting or doing something for someone else!
As well as being a fast and efficient administration team member, Tracey is the company Nanna to our children and mum to the staff. You know that no matter what Trace has got your back! She also treats our clients in the same manner and will go out of her way to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Her enthusiasm and smile is infectious and we feel very lucky to have her as part of our team.
Thea – Administration
Thea joined the Chevron Island family to further her skills and knowledge in the area of administration. She loves to learn and challenge herself with new tasks. Thea also works as an early childhood education teacher and loves teaching her little ones.
Thea is an enthusiastic, bubbly and energetic individual and we are so glad to have her on our team.
