Nutrition and Dietetics
We are lucky enough to have both a Nutritionist and Dietitian in our clinic.
Our Nutritionist, Kasey, completed her Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition) in 2007 at Queensland’s University of Technology. She also holds a Bachelor degree in Primary Education and utilises this when working with her younger clients.
Kasey can off you advice about food choices to make a healthy lifestyle change and creates personalised food plans based on your likes and dislikes, lifestyle and goals. These plans include a weekly eating plan, recipes, guidelines and educational material. From there she will continue to adjust the plan until you have reached your goal and it is something you can maintain for life.
Her main areas of interest include weight loss, eating to reduce anxiety, depression and stress, pre and post pregnancy and general healthy eating.
Our Dietitian, Rhonda, completed her Master of Dietetic Studies at the University of Queensland and holds a Bachelor degree in Exercise and Nutrition Sciences.
Rhonda advocates for a holistic approach to health and provides nutrition services in a range of different areas such as diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, food allergy and intolerance, weight management and general healthy eating advice/nutrient deficiencies.
Rhonda has experience working with patients of all ages and collaborates with her patients to create sustainable lifestyle changes to advance health. She is very committed to professional development and always delivers nutrition services based on the latest evidence. Rhonda also has a keen interest in sports nutrition and is currently working towards her Level 1 ISAK Accreditation which would allow her to monitor body composition changes and combine it with dietary interventions to help her patients achieve their health and nutritional goals.
Rhonda is claimable via private health and accepts Medicare and DVA patients.
